Differentiation
Differentiation is always an area we seem to be talking about in schools. It is the process of learning through our planning. Are we over complicating it? I always think when planning about the different types of learners I have in my classroom and how I am going to get them to understand the concept I’m teaching them. Differentiation is about process – pathway, pitch, explanation, access, pace, progress, choice, resource and level of challenge. Asking yourself what do I want them to know and understand? How will they get there? How will I know that they have understood? Helps when planning.
